Surprise Your Enemies Incidentally / By the Way

Surprise your enemies incidentally, so they are unprepared. Literally: “Along your way, let your voice be heard by your enemies.”

("The Holy One, blessed be He, said to Gabriel: ‘Is your sword abandoned?’ He replied: ‘Master of the Universe, it has been abandoned and stood since the six days of Creation… Rabbi Shimon ben Yochai said: at that time of fruit cooking, the Holy One said to Gabriel: ‘When you go out to cook the fruits – refine them…’ Rabbi Papa said: ‘People said: Incidentally, along your way, your voice may be heard by your enemy.’" – Sanhedrin 95b)
