Do not be wise in your own eyes

Do not be wise in your own eyes

A proverb teaching that a person should remain humble in his own eyes, and not consider himself so wise that he has nothing to learn from others. A saying against arrogance and pride, which lead to condescension and inability to listen to others' opinions or learn from their wisdom.

("Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and turn away from evil" — Proverbs 3:7)
