In a straight standing posture. By extension: with pride or without any shame.
(Six things are disgraceful for a wise student: He should not go out drunk to the market, nor go out alone at night, nor go out wearing worn-out sandals, nor talk with a woman in the market, nor associate with the local nation’s company, nor enter last to the study hall. And some say: He should not stride with a rough step, nor walk with upright bearing. He should not go out drunk to the market—said Rabbi Abba bar Rabbi Chiyya bar Abba, who said Rabbi Yochanan: In a place suspicious for male lodging (Berakhot 43b). Likewise: “upright bearing” (Rashi on Vayikra 26:13).)

בַּעֲמִידָה יְשָׁרָה. בְּהַשְׁאָלָה: בְּגַאֲוָה אוֹ לְלֹא כָּל בּוּשָׁה.
