The feeling of envy exists in every person regarding various things, except toward his son or his pupil.

תְּחוּשַׁת הַקִּנְאָה מְקַנֶּנֶת בְּכָל אָדָם לְגַבֵּי דְּבָרִים שׁוֹנִים חוּץ מֵאֲשֶׁר כְּלַפֵּי בְּנוֹ אוֹ תַּלְמִידוֹ.
