The palate and the windpipe. The food swallowing system in the mouth. Figuratively: a storage place for bullets in a rifle.

הַחֵיךְ וְהַקַּנֶּה. מַעֲרֶכֶת בְּלִיעַת הַמָּזוֹן בַּפֶּה. בְּהַשְׁאָלָה: מְקוֹם אִחְסוּן הַכַּדּוּרִים בָּרוֹבֶה.
