visiting the sick
A mitzvah according to which one should visit a sick person and help or encourage them.
("Six things a person enjoys the fruits of in this world, and the principal remains for him in the world to come. And these are: welcoming guests, visiting the sick, studying prayer, rising early to the study hall, educating his children in Torah, and judging his fellow favorably"—Shabbat 127a).

מִצְוָה לְפִיהָ יֵשׁ לְבַקֵּר אִישׁ חוֹלֶה, לְסַיֵּעַ לוֹ אוֹ לְעֹדֵד אֶת רוּחוֹ.
