complete ignoramus / illiterate
A derogatory term for a person lacking basic education. An ignoramus. (The original source of the expression is in the Torah, Genesis 23:12: "And Abraham bowed before the people of the land," meaning the local people living in the land. In Rabbinic language, 'am ha'aretz' refers to an uneducated person.)
