Darei Matah, Darei Ma'alah
The higher ranks are those angels that are in the higher worlds, and those of them, the children of man, are called lower ranks. By analogy: the lower ranks are the creatures of the underworld (for generations to be born).

דָּרֵי מַעֲלָה אֵלּוּ הַמַּלְאָכִים שֶׁבָּעוֹלָמוֹת הָעֶלְיוֹנִים, וְאִלּוּ בֵּנִי הָאָדָם מכונים דָּרֵי מַטָּה. בהשאלה: דָּרֵי מַטָּה הֵם יצורי השאול (לְדוֹר מַשְׁמָע לְהִתְגּוֹרֵר).
