A knife is only sharpened by the blade of another knife
A knife can only be sharpened by another knife. Figuratively: Studying together or in partnership enriches learners and sharpens the mind.

סַכִּין יְכוֹלָה לְהִתְחַדֵּד רַק בְּאֶמְצָעוּת סַכִּין אַחֶרֶת. בְּהַשְׁאָלָה: לִּמּוּד בְּצַוְתָּא אוֹ בְּחַבְרוּתָא מַפְרֶה אֶת הַלּוֹמְדִים וּמְחַדֵּד אֶת הַשֵּׂכֶל בִּזְכוּת הַשְּׁאֵלוֹת וְהַתְּשׁוּבוֹת הַבּוֹחֲנוֹת אֶת הַנּוֹשֵׂא מִזָּוִיּוֹת שׁוֹנוֹת.
