Eshel, Eshel expenses
A term for financial expenses a person incurs during travels or when away from home. Literally: Eshel—an acronym for food, drink, lodging or the accompaniment of the guest.

כִּנּוּי לְהוֹצָאוֹת כַּסְפִּיּוֹת שֶׁיֵּשׁ לְאָדָם בְּמִסְּעוֹתָיו אוֹ כְּשֶׁהוּא שׁוֹהֶה מִחוּץ לְבֵיתוֹ. מִלּוּלִית: אֵשֶׁ"ל- רָאשֵׁי תֵּבוֹת: אֲכִילָה שְׁתִיָּה לִינָה אוֹ לִוּוּי הָאוֹרֵחַ.
