A thief son of a thief
A thief whose father also engaged in thievery. By analogy: a great thief.
(If one says 'Mamzer son of a mamzer,' it is as if he explicitly called his father a mamzer; and if he says to his friend 'a thief son of a thief,' or 'an evil person son of an evil person,' or 'an apostate son of an apostate,' or 'a slanderer son of a slanderer,' this does not disrespect their fathers. But if he was a slanderer or an evil person, it is permitted to call him 'an evil person son of an apostate,' which does insult the father's honor, even if his father was perfectly righteous. - Yam Shel Shlomo, Tractate Bava Kama, Chapter 8)

גַּנָּב שֶׁגַּם אָבִיו עָסַק בִּגְנֵבָה. בְּהַשְׁאָלָה: גַּנָּב גָּדוֹל.
