Travelers from afar can lie with impunity
Question: A person who wants us to believe his lies tends to rely on things that are far-fetched or things that are difficult to verify. The liar's way is to not give details about the witnesses who are capable of corroborating his words and to make it difficult to reach them and determine the truthfulness of his testimony.

בְּהַשְׁאָלָה: אָדָם הָרוֹצֶה שֶׁיַּאֲמִינוּ לִשְׁקָרָיו נוֹהֵג לְהִסְתַּמֵּךְ עַל דְּבָרִים רְחוֹקִים אוֹ דְּבָרִים שֶׁקָּשֶׁה לִבְדֹּק אוֹתָם. דַּרְכּוֹ שֶׁל שַׁקְרָן שֶׁאֵינוֹ מוֹסֵר פְּרָטִים עַל הָעֵדִים הַיְּכוֹלִים לְחַזֵּק אֶת דְּבָרָיו וּמַקְשֶׁה אֶת הַיְּכֹלֶת לְהַגִּיעַ אֲלֵיהֶם וּלְבָרֵר אֶת אֲמִתּוּת עֵדוּתוֹ.
