He who carves above his face falls
By analogy: Bad things a person does eventually return to him. A person's anger returns to him and harms him.
("Do not be hasty in your spirit to become angry...everything that is too high will fall on its face" - Ecclesiastes Rava (Vilna) Parsha 7, and so: "Do not be hasty in your spirit to become angry - according to the one who is angry, he does not rise by his own hand except his anger, just as everything that is too high will return and fall on its face" - Torah Tamimah Ecclesiastes Chapter 7 9)

בְּהַשְׁאָלָה: דְּבָרִים רָעִים שֶׁאָדָם עוֹשֶׂה חוֹזְרִים אֵלָיו לְבַסּוֹף. כַּעֲסוֹ שֶׁל הָאָדָם חוֹזֵר אֵלָיו וּפוֹגֵעַ בּוֹ.
