Be swift (to do service) to a superior and kindly to the young!
A person should be gentle towards honorable people and kind (not harsh) towards young people.
("Rabbi Yishmael Omer says, "It is easy for the head and easy to shave, and it is easy for the head to receive all people with joy" - Avot 3:12, and so: "It is easy for the head - in front of a great old man who sits at the head of the assembly, it is easy to do his work and serve before him. עַל הָאָדָם לִהְיוֹת עָנוּ כְּלַפֵּי אֲנָשִׁים מכובדים ונחמד (לֹא נוקשה) כְּלַפֵּי בְּנֵי הַנֹּעַר.
