In Hebrew: A few days. A short time (originally: days that have been counted. A fixed period of time, usually a fixed amount of time).
("...and purity from the source of her blood is this sign that she will not be purified after childbirth until the numbered days" - Ibn Ezra, Leviticus 12:7; and likewise: "And number from it forty-nine days, seven weeks, as in days of old; and sanctify the eighth day as the eighth of the festival, and the numbered days in between as the intermediate days of the festival between the first and the eighth in the festival" - Ramban, Leviticus 23:36)
