דִּקְדּוּקֵי סוֹפְרִים
גְּזֵרוֹת וְתַקָּנוֹת שֶׁקָּבְעוּ חֲכָמִים כְּדֵי 'לַעֲשׂוֹת סְיָג לַתּוֹרָה'. הַחְמָרוֹת שֶׁתִּקְּנוּ הַסּוֹפְרִים כְּדֵי לְהַרְחִיק אֲנָשִׁים מִן הָעֲבֵרָה. וְכֵן: שְׁמָהּ שֶׁל סִדְרַת סְפָרִים שֶׁהוֹצִיא רַבִּי רְפָאֵל נָתָן נָטֵע רַבִּינוֹבִיץ, הַמְּבִיאָה חִלּוּפֵי גִּרְסָאוֹת לַתַּלְמוּד הַבָּבְלִי (דִּקְדּוּקִים מַשְׁמָע גַּם דִּיּוּקִים אוֹ הַקְפָּדוֹת. הַסּוֹפְרִים הָיוּ חַכְמֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל וּגְדוֹלִים בַּתּוֹרָה מִימֵי עֶזְרָא הַסּוֹפֵר וְעַד לַתְּנָאִים).

Decrees and enactments established by the sages in order to 'make a fence for the Torah.' Stringencies instituted by the scribes to distance people from transgression. Also: the name of a series of books published by Rabbi Raphael Nathan Nata Rabinovicz, presenting variant readings of the Babylonian Talmud (grammatical and textual exactitudes or strictures). The scribes were wise men of Israel and great in Torah from the days of Ezra the scribe until the Tannaim.
