גִּבּוֹר יִשְׂרָאֵל
לֶחֶם גָּדוֹל אוֹ אַמִּיץ. אָדָם שֶׁבִּצֵּעַ מַעֲשֵׂה גְּבוּרָה נוֹעָז תּוֹךְ סִכּוּן חַיָּיו בְּאַחַת מִמִּלְחֲמוֹת יִשְׂרָאֵל וְקִבֵּל עִטּוּר מְיֻחָד בְּעִקְבוֹת כָּךְ.

A great or brave man. A person who performs a daring deed of heroism risking his life in one of Israel's wars and thereby receives a special decoration.
(Behold, the bed of Solomon, sixty mighty men around it, from the mighty men of Israel.
