The Knowledge and the Choice
הגדרה (אנגלית)
God's knowledge of what will happen in the world before man's ability to choose is the opposite of this knowledge. In the question: knowledge of all the details and the ability to accept the decision and choose (source: Avot 3:11: "Everything is foreseen and permission is given and the good of the world is decided and everything is according to the multitude of deeds").
("All things are in the hands of heaven, except for the fear of heaven, the righteous and the wicked, he did not say. If so, it is said that their question was a question that knew the future, it would be difficult for them, like the question of the late Rambam, and all the first ones knew and chose something that contradicted it, so why did they ask about it?" - Chanukah Torah, Deverim, Chapter 7, and so on: "Has And peace be upon him who comes from this to error and says that there is no choice at all, that everything is in the hand of God, may you be blessed, and in the truth that knowledge and choice are both true, and as it is said that we have no power to live in this world, I have made this understanding, and on this account the scripture says, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and my thoughts are not your thoughts." - Rabbi Tzadok the priest of Lublin, Peri Tzadik At the beginning of the parable, he sat down, and said: "The first ones caught the evil one in his little one: 'Two readings and one interpretation'... What is not like the latter? They betrayed the tongue of their people from among them 'knowledge and choice'. They disbelieved in the principle of the tongue" - Bialik/ On "The Wisdom of Israel")
