Blessed is God who has exempted me from punishment because of this one’s actions. A blessing recited by a father when his son reaches the age of bar mitzvah, since until that age the father is considered responsible for the boy’s deeds and sins, as he is not yet liable for punishment. Figuratively: thank God I have been freed from this trouble.
