Dig a Passage Beneath the Throne of Glory
Figuratively: make a special opening beneath the Throne of Glory in order to allow prayers to pass directly to God. ("Chatar chatirah" means to dig a trench or excavation.)

בְּהַשְׁאָלָה: עֲשֵׂה 'פֶּתַח' מְיֻוחָד מִתַּחַת לְכִיסֵּא הַכָּבוֹד כְּדֵי לְאַפְשֵׁר אֶת מַעֲבַר הַתְּפִלּוֹת יְשִׁירוֹת לָה' (חָתַר חֲתִירָה מַשְׁמָע חָפַר חֲפִירָה).
