The Sages formulated their words in refined language, without coarseness.
"Our Sages expressed themselves in clean language without vulgarity. ("And so a child who brings two hairs—he is obligated in all the commandments mentioned in the Torah and is fit to be a rebellious and rebellious son—since he brings two hairs until a beard surrounds him, the lower one and not the upper one, but that the sages spoke in clean language") - Niddah 56a

חָזָ"ל הִתְנַסְּחוּ בְּדִבְרֵיהֶם בְּלָשׁוֹן נְקִיָּה לְלֹא גַּסּוּת.
("וְכֵן תִּינוֹק שֶׁהֵבִיא שְׁתֵּי שְׂעָרוֹת- חַיָּב בְּכָל מִצְוֹת הָאֲמוּרוֹת בַּתּוֹרָה, וְרָאוּי לִהְיוֹת בֵּן סוֹרֵר וּמוֹרֶה, מִשֶּׁיָּבִיא שְׁתֵּי שְׂעָרוֹת עַד שֶׁיַּקִּיף זָקָן. הַתַּחְתּוֹן וְלֹא הָעֶלְיוֹן, אֶלָּא שֶׁדִּבְּרוּ חֲכָמִים בְּלָשׁוֹן נְקִיָּה"- נִדָּה נֹב ע"א)
