It is Gemara (גְּמָרָא הִיא)

It is Gemara

It is a tradition; it is accepted (gamar can also mean to derive or learn one thing from another, as in the expression found in the Jerusalem Talmud, Tractate Berakhot 4:1: ‘They derived the morning prayer from the daily morning offering’).

("And perhaps it may be said that Rashi of blessed memory holds that since it is Rabbi Hama, it is Gemara" - Rabbi Eliyahu Mizrachi (HaRaM), Bereishit chapter 18, and also: "If you wish, it is Gemara, the rich are miserly, Rothschild, who is rich among the rich, his way is to be frugal" - Agnon / Cover of Stories, 87)
