Torments that occur after death before reaching the next world. In Hebrew: hardships and torments or severe torments (hitting means hitting).

יִסּוּרִים שֶׁאַחֲרֵי הַמָּוֶת טֶרֶם הַהַגָּעָה לָעוֹלָם הַבָּא. בְּהַשְׁאָלָה: קְשָׁיִים וְיִסּוּרִים אוֹ הִתְלַבְּטֻיּוֹת קָשׁוֹת (חִבּוּט מַשְׁמָע חֲבָטָה).
