Though your sins be scarlet, they shall be as white as snow
A promise spoken by God that He will forgive all sins if you truly repent. (The sins are compared to the color of 'shani', which resembles red, and will become white as snow after forgiveness. The color 'shani' was obtained from the eggs of an insect found on oak trees.)
("Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord; though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool" – Isaiah 1:18; also: "Our poppies were never redder / Our sins never turned white as snow" – Natan Yonatan / Songs So Far)
