Treat him with respect, but at the same time suspect him and do not trust him. Despite the honor one should accord him, one should not place trust in him.

נָהַג בּוֹ בְּכָבוֹד אַךְ בּוֹ זְמַנִּית תַּחֲשֹׁוד בּוֹ וְאַל תִּבְטַח בּוֹ. לַמְרוֹת הַכָּבוֹד שֶׁיֵּשׁ לִנְהֹג כְּלַפָּיו אֵין לִבְטֹחַ בּוֹ.
