Great-grandfather

The father of the grandfather; "rabba" means "great".

("Everyone at Abba Rabbah’s house called him!" — Yevamot 21b; and likewise: "And do you mean his son and his grandson, to the end of all generations? Rather, say: his daughter’s daughter-in-law, as Rav Chisda said: I heard this matter from a great man" — Yevamot 21b)
