Repentance, Prayer, and Charity Avert the Evil Decree
These three things together can nullify an evil decree that was decreed against a person, and they are: repentance, prayer, and righteousness.
("And turning, and prayer, and righteousness, overcome the evil of the circumcision" - the prayer 'And it shall be given effect' which is said in the terrible days, and so: "Three things nullify a hard circumcision: prayer, righteousness, and turning" - in Jerusalem, Ta'anit 2:1, and so: "Three things nullify evil circumcisions, and these are prayer and righteousness "And the return and the three are said in one verse" - at the beginning of Rava (Vilna) Parashah Lech Lech Parashah Med)

שְׁלֹושֶׁת הַדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה בְּיַחַד יְכוֹלִים לְבַטֵּל גְּזֵרָה רָעָה שֶׁנִּגְזֵירָה כְּנֶגֶד הָאָדָם, וְאֵלּוּ הֵם: תְּשׁוּבָה, תְּפִלָּה וּצְדָקָה.
