Patch upon patch, patch on patch/ botching
A garment with patches on top of patches. In Hebrew: not a patchwork but a pile of things. A collection of things or ideas added one to another without a patch (patch means a piece of fabric used to mend a tear in a garment).

בֶּגֶד מְטֻולָּא עִם תִּיקּוּנִים עַל גַּבֵּי תִּיקּוּנִים. בְּהַשְׁאָלָה: לְלֹא תִּכְנוּן מֵרֹאשׁ אֶלָּא גִּבּוּב שֶׁל דְּבָרִים. אֹסֶף שֶׁל דְּבָרִים אוֹ רַעֲיוֹנוֹת שֶׁנּוֹסְפוּ זֶה לָזֶה לְלֹא כַּוָּנָה מֵרֹאשׁ (טְלַאי מַשְׁמָע חֲתִיכַת אָרִיג הַמְּשַׁמֶּשֶׁת לְתִקּוּן קֶרַע בַּבֶּגֶד).
