Better that your sons ask from your hands than you ask from their hands.
A person should be careful with his money and be able support his children, instead of becoming financially dependent on them.

עַל אָדָם לִשְׁמֹר עַל מָמוֹנוֹ וְלִתְמֹךְ בִּילָדָיו מֵאֲשֶׁר לְאַבֵּד אוֹ לְהַעֲנִיק אֶת כַּסְפּוֹ וּלְהִזְדַּקֵּק לְחַסְדֵי יְלָדָיו.
