A good day makes one forget evil, and a bad day makes one forget good. / good times make a man forget the bad

When a good, happy day arrives, people forget the troubles of the past.

("Again, a person works for six days before his enemies and rests on the seventh; he has forgotten all the suffering he had. Such is the nature of a person: a good day makes one forget evil, and a bad day makes one forget good" - Yom Eliyahu Rabbah (Ish Shalom), Parashah A; and also: "This is a good trait in the Land of Israel, that a good day makes one forget a bad day" - Agnon, Only Yesterday, 158)
