בֵּית דִּין לֹא יְהֵא רַךְ לְזֶה וְקָשֶׁה לְזֶה
אָסוּר לְבֵית הַמִּשְׁפָּט אוֹ בֵּית הַדִּין לְגַלּוֹת רַכּוּת וְהִתְחַשְּׁבוּת כְּלַפֵּי צַד אֶחָד וְנֻקְשׁוּת כְּלַפֵּי הַצַּד הַשֵּׁנִי. הָאוֹבְּיֶקְטִיבִיּוּת הַשִּׁפּוּטִית מְחַיֶּבֶת יַחַס שָׁוֶה לְכָל הַצְּדָדִים גַּם בְּמַהֲלַךְ הַהִתְדַּיְּנוּת הַמִּשְׁפָּטִית (רְאֵה גַּם: "בֵּית דִּין לֹא יְהֵא רַךְ לְזֶה וְקָשֶׁה לְזֶה").

It is forbidden for a court or tribunal to show leniency and consideration toward one party and strictness toward another. Judicial objectivity requires equal treatment for all parties during legal proceedings.
