By extension: discrimination, perversion of justice, preferential treatment of associates (איפה refers to an ancient dry measure of volume).

("You shall not have in your house differing measures, a large and a small" – Deuteronomy 25:14. Also: "Diverse weights, diverse measures, both are abominations to the Lord" – Proverbs 20:10. And: "Rabbi Judah from Sura said: 'You shall not have in your house'—why? Because of 'different measures'; 'You shall not have in your pocket'—why? Because of 'diverse weights'; but 'A perfect and just weight shall you have, a perfect and just measure shall you have'" – Bava Batra 89a.
