A person lights a candle from another – the first still burns and loses nothing
Figuratively: Just as one candle can light another without losing its own flame, a person can share their knowledge, wisdom, or talents with others without diminishing themselves. One benefits, and the other loses nothing.

בְּהַשְׁאָלָה: כְּשֵׁם שֶׁנֵּר הַמַּדְלִיק נֵר אַחֵר אֵינוֹ מִתְמַעֵט, כָּךְ אָדָם יָכוֹל לְהַעֲנִיק מִיְּדִיעוֹתָיו וְכִשּׁוּרָיו לַאֲחֵרִים מִבְּלִי שֶׁיִּגְרַע מִמֶּנּוּ דָּבָר. זֶה נֶהֱנֶה וְזֶה אֵינוֹ חָסֵר.
