Even a small bump seems to him like towering mountains
Even a small mound of dirt or a little hill appears to him as high mountains. Figuratively: exaggerates his fears. Every small thing appears to him as large and frightening.
("Even from a height they will be seen – for even a small bump seems to him like towering mountains, and rough patches on the road when he walks become for him wonders" – Shabbat 152a)
