Don’t be patronizing to a judge, for you don’t have the power to stop the injustice.

Don’t be patronizing to a judge, for you don’t have the power to stop the injustice.

A person should not be patronizing in his attitude toward a judge, because this may lead to a miscarriage of justice in his case.

(“Do not act overly clever before a king. Do not exalt yourself before a judge, for you lack the power to stop injustice.” (Ben Sira 7:5–6))
