The institution's motto appearing on its emblem, designed by Shlomo Kohen Abarbanel, is based on the verse in Proverbs 24:6: 'For by wise guidance you will wage your war, and in the multitude of counselors there is deliverance.'

לֹא נִתָּן לִשְׂרֹד לְלֹא תִּחְכּוּם מוּל הָאוֹיֵב, וְהֵעָזְרוּת בַּמֻּמְחִים יְכוֹלָה לְהָבִיא יְשׁוּעָה. הַפָּסוּק מְהַוֶּה מֵעֵין סִיסְמַת "הַמּוֹסָד" הַמּוֹפִיעָה בְּסִמְלוֹ שֶׁעִצֵּב שְׁלֹמֹה כֹּהֵן אַבַּרְבַּנְאֵל, עַל פִּי הַפָּסוּק בְּמִשְׁלֵי כַּד ו :"כִּי בְתַחְבֻּלוֹת תַּעֲשֶׂה לְּךָ מִלְחָמָה וּתְשׁוּעָה בְּרֹב יוֹעֵץ".
