To examine or check someone's behavior or actions after them.
("The Rabbis taught: If one was walking outside the city and sees a child with a torch in his hand, he examines after him: if he is an Israelite, he blesses; if a gentile, he does not bless." - Berakhot 53a. בָּדַק אֶת הִתְנַהֲגוּתוֹ. בֵּרֵר אַחֵר מַעֲשָׂיו אוֹ עָקַב אַחֲרָיו.
