בֵּית סוֹהַר. מָקוֹם סָגוּר שֶׁבוֹ מוּחֲזָקִים אֲנָשִׁים בְּכְפִיָּה עַל פִּי פְּסַק דִּין כְּאֶמְצָעִי עֲנִישָׁה לְמֶשֶׁךְ פֶּרֶק זְמַן שֶׁנִּקְבַּע עַל יְדֵי בֵּית הַמִּשְׁפָּט.
