Pardon me! / Please

Pardon me! / Please

I beg your pardon. Please. I ask for your forgiveness (in Aramaic bematuta means “please”).

(“They said to him: ‘Bematuta, in what did we suspect him?’ (What did you suspect of him?)” – Taanit 22a; and: “Afterwards he began to weep quietly and turned to his daughter, ‘Bematuta from you, please do with me a final kindness’” – R. Ovadia Yosef / Anaf Etz Avot, p. 177; and: “‘Bematuta, why does Judah remain silent and still? Is his mind not at ease?’” – Y. Burla / Kisufim, p. 198)
