Heartache. Sorrow (דָּאַב means pain or sadness. The original source of the expression in words is Kohelet (Ecclesiastes): "And among those nations you shall find no rest, nor will there be any repose for the sole of your foot; and the LORD will give you there a trembling heart, and failing eyes, and sorrow of soul.")

("And for this reason the scripture gave the tone of joy of this freewill offering, that there was room to rejoice in the very nature of its matter, because that offering which they offered for the building of the Temple was an offering to God, and there was no need to compensate for any lack, and there was also no sorrow of heart in it" - Yad HaMelekh speaking of fear and wisdom, and similarly: "He left with sorrow of heart the man of Shiloh here this night with the box of belongings" - Deborah Bron/Exiles, 127).
