A person does not perform any act unless it has been decided by divine providence that he should do so.

אֵין אָדָם עוֹשֶׂה פְּעֻלָּה מְסֻיֶּמֶת מִבְּלִי שֶׁהֻחְלַט ע"י הַהַשְׁגָּחָה הָעֶלְיוֹנָה שֶׁכָּךְ יַעֲשֶׂה.
