It is not in our power to explain the well-being of the wicked nor the sorrows of the righteous
We do not have a 'peaceful' life like the wicked, yet on the other hand, our lives are not filled with suffering like the righteous. Or: We are unable to explain why sometimes the wicked prosper in this world while sometimes the righteous suffer.

אֵין לָנוּ חַיִּים "שְׁלֵוִים" כְּמוֹ שֶׁל הָרְשָׁעִים, וּמִצַּד שֵׁנִי אֵין חַיֵּינוּ מְלֵאֵי סֵבֶל כְּמוֹ הַצַּדִּיקִים. אוֹ: אֵין בְּיָדֵינוּ הֶסְבֵּר מַדּוּעַ לְעִתִּים טוֹב לָרְשָׁעִים בָּעוֹלָם הַזֶּה וְאִלּוּ לְעִתִּים רַע לַצַּדִּיקִים.
