The belief in the existence of one and only God, a faith that is the foundation of Judaism, as expressed in the verse Deuteronomy 6:4: 'Hear, O Israel: the LORD is our God, the LORD is One.'

אֱמוּנָה בְּקִיּוּמוֹ שֶׁל אֵל אֶחָד וְיָחִיד. אֱמוּנָה הָעוֹמֶדֶת בִּבְסִיס הַדָּת הַיְּהוּדִית, וּכְפִי שֶׁמֻּבַּעַת בַּפָּסוּק (דְבָרִים ו ד): "שְׁמַע יִשְׂרָאֵל, ה' אֱלֹהֵינוּ ה' אֶחָד".
