The belief in the existence of one and only God, a faith that is the foundation of Judaism, as expressed in the verse Deuteronomy 6:4: 'Hear, O Israel: the LORD is our God, the LORD is One.'

("And it shall be a sign of the covenant between Me and you (Genesis 17:11) – to remind that all the seed of Abraham enter into the covenant of the belief in the Oneness, and likewise the rainbow is a sign to remind the generations that the Holy One, blessed be He, will not bring a flood upon the world" – Rabbeinu Bahya on Genesis 9:13.
