God is the builder and destroyer of worlds.
God created additional worlds before He created this world.
("He made everything beautiful in its time," said Rabbi Tanhuma. "At the time the world was created, [it] was not visible to the creations before, therefore it is said, "And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good." Rabbi Abahu said, "From here the Blessed One was the builder and destroyer of worlds until He created them." הקב"ה בָּרָא עוֹלָמוֹת נוֹסָפִים לִפְנֵי שֶׁבָּרָא אֶת הָעוֹלָם הַזֶּה.
