Hatred Spoils the Line
Hatred leads to deviation from the rule of law or the proper order of life. Hatred between people disrupts order (shura means the proper order).
("And hatred spoils the covenant, as it is said: And Balaam rose up in the morning and saddled his donkey (in the wilderness 22:21) - and he had not so many servants? But hatred spoils the covenant" - in the beginning of Rava 51:1)

הַשִּׂנְאָה מְבִיאָה לַחֲרִיגָה מִשּׁוּרַת הַדִּין אוֹ מִסֵּדֶר הַחַיִּים הַתַּקִּין. שִׂנְאָה בֵּין אֲנָשִׁים מְקַלְקֶלֶת אֶת הַסֵּדֶר (שׁוּרָה מַשְׁמָע הַסֵּדֶר הַנָּכוֹן).
