Haughty Poor - Knowledge Cannot Endure Him
A simple man who is also proud; his behavior is intolerable.
(The Rabbis taught: There are three whose life is not life: the merciful, the hot-tempered, and the 'aninei hada'at' (those sensitive of mind)... Three hate one another, these are: dogs, roosters, and companions. Some say also: harlots. Others say: even the sages' students in Babel... Three love one another: the converts, slaves, and hired workers. Four are intolerable in intellect, these are: the haughty poor, the rich denier, the old adulterer, and the employer who boasts over the public for free - Pesachim 109b.)

אָדָם פָּשׁוּט שֶׁהוּא גַּם גַּאַוְתָן הִתְנַהֲגוּתוֹ בִּלְתִּי נִסְבֶּלֶת.
