Be deliberate in judgement
Do not rush to judge. An instruction to judges to weigh the evidence and arguments with serious consideration. Alternatively: Do not be strict in judgement but incline toward leniency (Metun means not swift, not hasty, and possessing deliberation).

אַל תְּמַהֲרוּ לִשְׁפֹּט. הוֹרָאָה לַשְּׁפָטִים לִשְׁקֹל אֶת הָרְאָיוֹת וְהַטְּעָנוֹת בְּכֹבֶד רֹאשׁ. אוֹ: אַל תַּחֲמִירוּ בַּדִּין אֶלָּא הָיוּ נוֹטִים לְהָקֵל (מָתוּן מַשְׁמָע בִּלְתִּי מָהִיר, בִּלְתִּי פָּזִיז וּבַעַל יִשּׁוּב הַדַּעַת).
