הגדרה (אנגלית)

A judge must be pleasant and patient toward the public he judges and must not act toward them with anger or arrogance.

("Not to instill fear in the public or oppress them excessively, as proven later (page 8), from which we learn the meaning of 'warning to a judge to be patient with the public'"—Tosafot, Sanhedrin 7b, and: "A warning to a judge not to step on the heads of the holy people"—Tosafot, Yevamot 115b)
