(“And the priest shall take the arm of the ram to indicate that the arm is separated from the ram, being cooked for its owners from the sacrifices, and it shall be given to the priest as a sign that by the strength of the arm this Nazirite has been separated from the desires of his flesh at first to become a Nazirite” – Abravanel, Numbers 6; and likewise: “And He will repay them – the Lord will repay the recompense of the violence they did by force of the arm” – Metzudat David, Psalms 103:23)
